COURSE DESCRIPTION

Our rapidly changing world means evolving expectations which means society wants more these days from employers and institutions than the standard Diversity and Inclusion training. The time has come to broaden our understanding of cultural diversity and social cohesion and this empowering programme has been developed collaboratively by qualified People of Colour with lived experience to really connect with your team and dramatically improve workplace experience and outcomes.

Broadening Cultural Awareness is our trademark ‘one step further’ approach to the standard Diversity and Inclusion training with an emphasis on building cohesion and capacity rather than just competency. Really getting to the point of the matter by decentering the conversation on culture and diversity, and helping participants understand cultural diversity through the lens of social design principles and systems change theory. Through the facilitated sharing of stories and the latest academic research, combined with leading edge insights, participants will be led to a broader awareness of cultural diversity, its benefits for society and for themselves.

All forward-thinking organisations recognise that diversity, inclusion and social cohesion will benefit their employees much as it benefits the whole organisation; because diversity is not just the spice of life, it is actually its essence.
